‘Passion’… ‘Purpose’ … ‘Progress’ …

You sit at your desk, feeling drained by your job.  You wish you were somewhere else, doing anything else. But when you try and figure out what that something else is, you just blank out. If it does – you aren’t alone. There are many people with the thought, “I wanted to do more, but I had no idea which path I wanted to take”.

Sometimes the voice in your head saying: “there is nothing out there for you” will slow you down.  You will get stuck being worried about a lack of progress and that could end up making you fearful about nothing is ever going to change.

So instead of listening to those voices, take a moment to show them the door, tell yourself: “I have a lot of passions, and I’m enjoying exploring what I want to do next”.Ok, now take a look at that list, and pick one thing to explore. What seems to be the most interesting thing to you on that list?

When we are continually telling ourselves WE CAN’T, then we will never believe WE CAN. We are here for a reason. No one else has your unique blend of talents, wisdom, strengths, skills, and creativity .Too often we get wrapped up in the expectations we set for ourselves that we focus on the details and the to-do lists instead of what is most important. What do you love to do? What makes you smile?

It’s Not about Passion, its About Your Purpose in Life. First of all, many of us are trying to find our passion in life. But the word ‘passion’ isn’t very accurate. I think what we are trying to find is what we are ‘enthusiastic’ about.

If we can find the best possible answer to this question “Why am I here?”, then we can live the best possible life. Your purpose is not something you need to make up; it’s already there. You have to uncover it in order to create the life you want. Once you know what your passions are and how your life will look when you are living it, you can create action plans to turn your dreams into reality.

Many times passion trap results in a workaholic lifestyle that throws people’s lives out of balance. These people are so intensely passionate about a certain aspect of their life or career that everything else goes on hold. The key here is to find balance by inculcating your passions into all the major areas of your life. Don’t get drawn into making irrational decisions based purely on your passionate feelings. Instead, think rationally and logically about every decision you make moving forward.

Start living your purpose a little more fully every day. It will enhance our lives and will lead to more happiness and greater levels of fulfillment .Don’t worry about what the world needs.  Ask what makes you come alive and do that !!
